Smoke Point is a Canadian single malt from Shelter Point Distillery on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, made from 100% malted B.C. barley. It is bottled at 53% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
Its smoke does not come from peated malt alone: the whisky is aged in barrels smoked with driftwood gathered from the distillery's shoreline and the native woods around it.
The nose brings campfire and cigar smoke with seasoned oak and a maritime note. On the palate are chocolate, fruit and toffee alongside gentle iodine and a salty coastal edge. The finish is long, with crème brûlée sweetness, salty graham cracker and lingering smoke.
