This is a small-batch Canadian whisky from Sheringham Distillery on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. It is made grain to glass from B.C.-grown rye, wheat and malted barley, and matured for at least three years in new American white oak barrels. It is bottled at 45% ABV.
The nose is rich and grain-forward, with vanilla, cooked fruit, brown sugar, pepper and toasted oak. On the palate it is full-bodied and spicy, with peppery rye, caramelised fruit and American oak. The finish is warming and persistent, with rye spice, vanilla, toasted oak and a touch of leather.
