Shinobu Pure Malt Whisky Mizunara Oak (75cl, 43%)

Shinobu Pure Malt Mizunara Oak is a Japanese blended malt of 43% strength, in a 750ml bottle. It is made entirely from malted-barley whiskies chosen from several distilleries and blended in Niigata by Ken Usami, with no grain whisky in the vat. The whisky rests in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks and is then finished in Japanese Mizunara oak. It is non-chill filtered and has no added colour. On the nose there is vanilla, plums and mint. The palate is slightly sweet, with spice, vanilla, citrus and a smoky oak note. The finish is medium in length, sweet and woody, with mint and a slight bitterness.
