Shire Oak Premium Bourbon is a Texas bourbon bottled at cask strength, 59.4% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It is two years old and made from 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley. The nose offers oak, corn, vanilla and toasted nuts. Strong oak notes lead the palate, alongside crème brûlée, dark fruit, apple with dark chocolate, pecan, green tea and a light smokiness. The finish is strong, with toasted nuts and plenty of pleasant woody notes.
