Shizuoka Pot Still K is a Japanese single malt, the first edition of this release, made from 100% imported barley and bottled at 55.5% in a 700ml bottle. The release numbers 3000 bottles.
It was distilled in the K still, which originally came from Karuizawa. The palate draws on bourbon barrel, quarter cask and sherry hogshead maturation.
The nose is rich vanilla, warm grain and wood spices. On the palate come honey, toasted oak, creamy malt and soft apricot, and the finish is long and warming.
