Shizuoka Pot Still K 2023 Edition is a Japanese single malt made entirely from Japanese barley and bottled at 55.5%. Its steam-heated K still was designed for Karuizawa in the 1950s, then rescued, restored and installed at Shizuoka. This edition comprises 6,000 bottles.
White fruit, lemon and gentle malt sweetness shape the lightly mineral nose. The palate adds vanilla and mild spice, leading into a long, warming finish with mango and banana.
