Shizuoka Pot Still K 2019/2023 is a single malt from the Shizuoka distillery on Honshu, Japan. It was distilled in 2019 and bottled in 2023 as a single cask for the Asta Morris series, at 65.2%. The spirit comes from Pot Still K, a still from the closed Karuizawa distillery, heated with indirect steam to give a light, fruity and ethereal distillate. The nose offers freshly cut wood, stone fruit and citrus. On the palate come vanilla, orange marmalade and butterscotch with a pleasant spiciness, leading to a long, warm finish.
