This is a 36 year old Longmorn from 1990, bottled by Signatory Vintage in its Symington's Choice range, which founder Andrew Symington selects personally. It was released to mark the 50th anniversary of the German spirits importer Kirsch Import. The whisky spent all 36 years in a single hogshead, with no transfer to another cask and no finishing. The nose shows ripe apples, pears, dark raisins, vanilla, stone fruit, vanilla custard, coconut biscuits and orange. The palate is full-bodied and oily, with stewed fruit, caramel, ginger and nutmeg. The long finish moves towards dry oak, with a touch of sherry at the end.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
