This is Ben Nevis 10 Years Old, Release No. 63 in the 100 Proof series from Signatory Vintage. It is bottled at 57.1%, which is 100 proof, in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The whisky was matured in first-fill Pedro Ximénez and second-fill Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose has raisins, dates and PX caramel with malt, light cocoa and a touch of mineral smoke. The palate is full and syrupy, with dark chocolate, dark fruit, spice, honey, dried figs and dry Oloroso. The finish is long and warm, drying, with sherry spices, cocoa and a hint of nuts.
