This is an 18 year old Speyside single malt from an unnamed distillery, bottled by Signatory Vintage as its 100 Proof Edition #18, in a 70cl bottle.
It matured in first fill Oloroso sherry butts and was bottled at 100 proof, which is 57.1% ABV, without chill filtration and without added colouring.
The nose brings raisins, dates and dried figs, with dark chocolate, orange peel and warm spices. The palate is full and powerful, with dark fruit, caramel, nuts and spicy oak, and a creamy texture. The finish is long and warming, with cocoa, dried fruit, clove and sherry sweetness.
