Silkie The Legendary Red is an Irish blended whiskey from Sliabh Liag Distillers, inspired by the legends and rugged coastline of Donegal. It is finished in Rioja and Ribera del Duero red wine casks and was bottled on 2 December 2020 at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The release was 1,100 bottles.
The nose has ripe red berries, cherry, honey and soft spice. The palate is round and full, with dark fruit, light tannins, vanilla, cloves and a subtle, vinous dryness. The finish is medium to long, warm and slightly spicy, balancing sweet and fresh.
