The Legendary Red is a blended Irish whiskey from Silkie, matured in Rioja and Ribera del Duero wine casks from Spain. It is the newest release from the brand and is bottled at 46%, in a 70cl bottle.
The name comes from the Silkies, the mythical sea maidens said in legend to have lived off the coast of Donegal. It is an independent bottling from the Sliabh Liag distillery.
It is usually described as fruity and dry, with a small hint of smoke, and still recognisably Irish in character.
