Skellig Triple Cask Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey (70cl, 43%)

Skellig Triple Cask is a single pot still Irish whiskey from the Skellig Six18 Distillery, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is bottled without added colour. The whiskey was first matured in ex-bourbon casks, then finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. A small part was also finished in ex-peated casks, which adds a subtle, bitter-spicy note. The nose is usually described as nutty and caramel-like, with woody tones and a little chamomile. The palate brings dried fruit, papaya, fresh jalapeños, orchard apple and a hint of smoke, followed by a balanced, long finish.
