Slaughter House Whiskey

Slaughter House is an American whiskey from California. The spirit spent nine years in American oak before a further period in French oak barrels that had previously held Napa Valley Bordeaux varietal red wine. The wine barrels added perfumed aromatics and a rounder mouthfeel. The spirit was then reduced with water from wine country. The nose is intense, with caramelised sugar, baking spices, dark fruits, butterscotch and vanilla. The palate is smooth, rich and layered, and the finish brings honey, toast and plenty of caramel.
