Smögen – 2012/2023 10 Year Old Tawny Port Casks Heavily Peated (50cl, 53.8%)

This is a heavily peated Swedish single malt from Smögen, distilled in December 2012 and bottled in July 2023 at a cask strength of 53.8%, in a 50cl bottle. It was made from heavily peated Optic smoked malt, and only 1,420 bottles were filled. After its first maturation, the whisky spent two years finishing in casks that previously held fruity, sweet Tawny port. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. Smögen is a micro-distillery in Hunnebostrand, where the new make is distilled to 71% and matured on site.
