Smoke Wagon Red White and Blue is the annual Independence Day edition from Nevada H&C Distilling Company in Las Vegas. It is a high rye straight bourbon matured in new American oak, bottled at 92.5 proof (46.25%) in a 750ml bottle, and it is non chill filtered.
The barrels age in the heat of the Las Vegas climate, racked on the top two floors of the warehouse and never rotated. The label carries red, white and blue artwork.
The nose offers apple, zesty caramel, honey, toasted nuts and warm oak, with a faint smoky edge. On the palate are honey, vanilla and velvety caramel, with charred oak, dark cherry and high rye spice. The finish is long, with caramel, toasted oak, dark fruit and a peppery rye note.
