Smokehead Rum Rebel is a peated Islay single malt matured in Caribbean rum casks. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The rum casks add a sweet edge to the smoky, peaty character of the Smokehead style.
The nose brings immense smoke and fiery peat, with citrus and tropical fruits and a hint of marshmallow and bacon. The palate is rich and peaty, with thick oils and sea spray, softened by dried spices, banana and dark wood. The finish has caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla, with lingering smoke.
