Smokehead Rum Rebel is an Islay single malt that has spent time in Caribbean rum casks, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The rum wood adds a sweeter side to the brand's peaty character.
Expect strong smoke and peat on the nose, with citrus, tropical fruit and a curious hint of marshmallow and bacon. The palate is rich and peaty, with thick oils and sea spray softened by dried spices, banana and dark wood.
The finish stays smoky, with caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla.
