Smokey Joe is an Islay blended malt bottled at 46%. It is made entirely from single malts distilled on Islay and has not been chill-filtered.
The nose opens with peat smoke, seaweed and a touch of iodine, with citrus, green apple and a little spice behind. On the palate it is full and oily, with smoke and peat alongside black pepper, citrus and light vanilla.
The finish is long and warming, with lingering smoke, sea spray and a little sweetness.
