Smoking Islay is an 11 year old blended malt from Islay, bottled by Blackadder at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is a release of 750 bottles, non-chill filtered and without added colouring.
The blend of Islay malts was finished in an Amontillado sherry cask. The finish adds a dry, oxidative, nutty character rather than heavy sweetness.
It is typically described as having toasted wood, dried citrus and hazelnut over intense peat, smouldering smoke and marine brine.
