Smoky Scot Island Peat Edition Orkney Release (46%)

This is a limited edition Orkney single malt from Smoky Scot, the smoky range of Aceo, which also owns the independent bottler Murray McDavid. It is the Island Peat Edition, dedicated to the Orkney islands. The peat of Orkney is rich in heather, which gives a fragrant, floral and lightly earthy smoke rather than the heavy phenolic character of coastal peat. The whisky is light gold in colour and bottled at 46% vol, non-chill-filtered and without added colouring. Honey sweetness, fruit and spice sit alongside the gentle smoke.
