The Peat Faerie is a 10 year old blended malt Scotch whisky from SMWS, bottled at a cask strength of 50%. It combines Speyside and Islay malts matured in ex-bourbon barrels, and has a pale gold colour with a slight green shimmer.
The name refers to the pairing of sweet Speyside character with Islay smoke.
The nose offers vanilla, honeycomb and pear drops alongside woodsmoke, charcoal and lemon zest. The palate is oily, with bonfire smoke, vanilla fudge, orchard fruit, herbs and sea salt. The finish is long and warming, with ash, vanilla cream, pepper and sweet peat smoke.
