Sonoma California Smoked Bourbon (70cl, 46%)

Sonoma California Smoked Bourbon is a straight bourbon from Sonoma Distilling Company in California. The mash combines corn and rye with malted barley that the distillery smokes itself over cherry wood. It matured for at least three years in new American white oak casks and is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, chill-filtered and with no added colour. The nose has caramel, cherries and spicy oak with a little vanilla. On the palate come vanilla, cane sugar and candied citrus, with black pepper and a light note of ash. The finish is medium in length, with nutmeg, rye, cherries and vanilla and a smoky hint.
