Sortilège Canadian Rye Whisky Maple Wood (75cl, 40%)

Sortilège Canadian Rye Whisky is a 40% Canadian whisky produced in Quebec, made from Canadian corn, rye and barley. It matures for three years in oak barrels, then is macerated with locally sourced maple wood that has been dried and toasted. The maple character comes from the wood rather than from added syrup. The nose has vanilla and toasted wood with a little caramel and rye spice. On the palate come butterscotch, vanilla and warming rye, and the long finish carries rye spice, toasted wood and a gently smoky maple-wood note.
