A 10-year-old Speyside single malt from South Star Spirits, distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2021 at 48% in a 70cl bottle.
This is the first batch of South Star Speyside 2011, released by a sister company to North Star Spirits. The whisky was assembled from a small batch of 10 hogshead casks, giving 2148 bottles.
The nose is fruity and floral, with lemon slice. The palate has syrup toffee and a touch of saltiness, and the finish brings cinnamon on baked apples and pears.
