This is a 15 year old Speyside single malt from Douglas Laing's Old Particular series. It was distilled in December 2000 and bottled in November 2016, after maturing in a single refill bourbon hogshead. Only 333 bottles were filled.
The nose offers caramelised fruit peel and peach, with a peppery oak spice. The palate is full-bodied and layered, with rich vanilla and toasted oak. The finish is gently spiced, with black pepper and a touch of chocolate ice cream.
