Speysiders 2009 11 Year Old Murray McDavid (46%)

A blended malt from Murray McDavid, bottled at 46% from four Speyside single malts: Craigellachie, Glenlossie, Linkwood and Miltonduff. They were distilled, matured and blended within a little over ten miles of each other, and the blend was put together by the Whisky Creations Team at Coleburn Distillery. The whisky was distilled in 2009 and matured in bourbon and sherry casks, then finished for six months in freshly emptied Ximenez-Spinola PX sherry casks. This is batch 3, with 1,102 bottles. The nose is fruit and nuts with chocolate, mocha and spice. The palate is chocolate and raisins in creamy malt. The finish is rum and raisin fudge with nuts and cafe latte.
