A 14 year old Speyside single malt released under the name Speysides Monster in Claxton's Exploration Series. It was distilled on 25 June 2009 and bottled on 28 November 2023, after maturing in a single Oloroso sherry hogshead. This is release EXP1059.
The nose combines Oloroso sherry with spices, oak and malt. The palate is likened to Christmas cake, with raisins, brandy, vanilla and icing sugar. The finish stays gently sweet, with sherry notes, dried fruits and more sweet spice.
