This is a Tasmanian single malt from Spirit Thief, in a 50cl bottle at 48.3% ABV. It was made in collaboration with winemakers from South Australia.
The whisky was matured in shiraz casks sourced from the cooler regions of McLaren Vale. The casks were re-coopered and given a medium toast and char.
The nose is creamy vanilla and strawberry jam. The palate brings caramel fudge, custard apple, toasted hazelnuts, sweet brioche pastry, maple syrup and baking spices, rounded out by a hint of cinnamon zest.
