Spirit Thief – American Oak Shiraz Cask Whisky (50cl, 48%)

Spirit Thief American Oak Shiraz Cask Whisky is a 48% single malt from Tasmania, in a 50cl bottle. It is a collaboration between a Tasmanian distiller and the Main & Cherry winery in South Australia. The whisky is matured in American oak casks that previously held McLaren Vale shiraz, and the wine seasoning has a clear influence on the character. The nose is creamy vanilla and strawberry jam. On the palate come caramel fudge and custard apple, and the finish recalls sweet brioche pastry and maple syrup, with a hint of cinnamon zest.
