This is a 10 year old Campbeltown single malt from Springbank, matured for 7 years in refill bourbon casks and then for 3 years in Spanish oak Pedro Ximenez sherry hogsheads. It belongs to Springbank's Sherry Series.
The nose starts subtle, with barley and a touch of funk, before raspberry, prune and orange appear. The palate brings juicy red fruit, including raspberry and glazed strawberry, with a medium-thick mouthfeel and mild peat that grows into smokiness. The finish is medium to long, with peat, earthy tones, black pepper and juicy orange.
