This is a 10 year old Springbank single malt in a 70cl bottle, matured for seven years in Bourbon casks and then three years in fresh Pedro Ximénez casks. It opened the distillery's Sherry series.
The nose is full-bodied, led by date syrup and raisins. On the palate, tannin and spice come with cola cubes, cherry menthol, cinnamon and caramel, while an oily texture and a damp, dunnage note keep the Springbank character present against the sweetness of the PX. The finish stays tannic, with sultanas and rich spices.
