Springbank – 10 Year Old (46%)

Springbank 10 Year Old is a single malt from one of the few distilleries still making Campbeltown whisky, on the Kintyre peninsula. It is bottled at 46% ABV. Springbank is distilled two and a half times, so part of the spirit is distilled twice and part three times. The whisky is matured in bourbon and sherry casks, which gives a pleasant balance in the glass. The nose is fruit with a whisper of peat, vanilla and malt. The palate brings malt, oak, spices, nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla. The finish is sweetish with a little pepper.
