A Campbeltown single malt from Springbank, distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2008 after 10 years in sherry casks. This is Batch No. 2 of the Vintage 1997, in a 70cl bottle at 54.9% ABV.
The nose is sweet and salty, with fresh honey, bread and butter, sugared almonds, vanilla and blackberries. The palate adds caramel, apricots, ginger, yellow fruit and citrus, with a little smoke. The finish is long, with mocha, caramel, salt and pepper and a trace of smoke.
