Springbank 10 Years is a Campbeltown single malt at 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered and without added colour. The distillery has made its whisky entirely on site since 1828, floor malting included.
It was matured in a mix of 60% bourbon and 40% sherry casks. The malt was peated for six hours and then dried with hot air for a further 24 hours, and the spirit is distilled two and a half times.
The nose offers grain, mango, gooseberry, honey and vanilla, with a hint of peat smoke and a light salty air. The palate is creamy, with oatmeal, malt, orange pith, heather honey, toffee and cinnamon, then dried fruit and sea salt. The finish is medium in length, spiced and sweet, with salted caramel and a fine smoky saltiness.
