Springbank – 100 Proof 5 Year Old (70cl, 57.1%)

Springbank 100 Proof is a five-year-old Campbeltown single malt, matured entirely in Bourbon casks and bottled at 57.1% in a 70cl bottle. It is lightly peated and made with Springbank's two-and-a-half-times distillation, and it is bottled without colouring or chill-filtration. The bottling is intended as a regularly returning addition to the Springbank core range. The nose is lively and clear, with green apple, gorse and fruit gums over a cool mineral note. The palate balances icing sugar, white chocolate and a touch of peat smoke, then moves to tomato plant, sunflower seeds and linseed oil. The finish combines honey with gooseberry.
