Springbank 15 Years is a Campbeltown single malt matured in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks. Springbank still carries out every stage itself, from malting to bottling, and remains independent.
The sherry casks add depth, while a light peat smoke and a salty edge give it its Campbeltown character.
The nose has dark chocolate, raisins, walnuts and leather, with a hint of sea salt. On the palate are plums, sherry, clove and oak with a subtle smokiness. The finish is long, warming and spicy, with soft smoke and a salty note.
