This is a single cask Springbank, a private bottling of a 16 year old Campbeltown malt, in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2013 at a cask strength of 53% ABV, without chill filtration or added colouring.
The whisky matured entirely in a fresh sherry cask and has a dark amber colour. The bottling is one of 222.
The nose is full and sherried, with fruit, caramel, raisins and a hint of smoke. On the palate it is full-bodied and slightly oily, with figs and raisins and a pleasant sherry sweetness with honey.
