A 17 year old single cask Springbank from the Archives series, distilled in Campbeltown in 1999 and matured in a single sherry hogshead. It was bottled on 3 October 2016 at a cask strength of 50.3%, in a 70cl bottle. Smoke and mineral notes lead the nose, followed by raisins, sweet orange, pear and green grapes, with some spice. On the palate, cane sugar and minerality meet ripe pear and dried fruit, then dark chocolate, cinnamon and white pepper. The long finish brings the smoke back to the front, with pepper and a pleasantly dry note.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
