Springbank 18 Year Old is a single malt bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in a mix of 65% bourbon and 35% sherry casks, and is described as full-bodied.
The nose shows raisins, prunes, mixed peel and fruit cake, with hard toffee, crème caramel and spicy wood.
On the palate come madeira cake, marzipan and gingerbread, with honey and syrup sweetness and the creamy caramel carrying through. The finish is woody, with allspice and aniseed.
