Springbank – 18 Years (2025) (70cl, 46%)

This is the 2025 release of Springbank 18 Years, a single malt from the Springbank distillery in Campbeltown. It was matured in a mix of 50% bourbon casks, 45% sherry casks and 5% rum casks. This edition is the first to add a small share of rum casks to the bourbon and sherry character. It is bottled at 46%, non-chill-filtered and without added colour. The nose brings marzipan, white chocolate, raspberries and jam, with heather honey and fine leather. On the palate come treacle, blackberries and blackcurrants, then nutmeg and dark chocolate. The finish is long, with ash, gooseberries, salted pretzels and cayenne pepper.
