This is a 35 year old Springbank from Campbeltown, bottled by Signatory Vintage as part of its Symington's Choice series. The whisky was distilled in 1989 and bottled in 2024 at 47.8% in a 70cl bottle.
It matured in a refill Oloroso sherry butt, and the outturn was 345 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose offers deep sherry notes, dried fruit, and a fine spiciness with leather and oak. On the palate it is full and complex, with dark chocolate, ripe plums and malt. The finish is long, with subtle nut and spice notes.
