This is a single cask Springbank, distilled in 1993 and bottled after 21 years at 46% by Berry Bros. & Rudd under its Berrys' Own Selection label. It came from cask 220, bottled for Charles Hofer SA, without chill-filtering or colouring.
The nose is fairly dry, with heather, plums and peach, a hint of honey, and a light waxy note with a little leather. The palate is very soft, with caramelised fruit, raisins and blackcurrant, cinnamon and vanilla, oaky dryness balancing the honey, and subtle wood smoke with a hint of the sea. The finish is very long, with aniseed and raisin sweetness.
