A 21 year old single malt from Springbank in Campbeltown, distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2020 at 46% in a 70cl bottle. Only 3,300 bottles were released worldwide.
It was matured in a mix of casks: 30% bourbon, 30% rum, 25% sherry and 15% port.
The nose is warm and sweet, with demerara sugar, syrup, candied orange peel and milk chocolate. The palate is full and oily, with warehouse and coastal notes, a little peat smoke and slightly dry oak tannins. The finish is long, with dried fruit from the port and sherry casks, then raisins, roasted coffee beans and lasting oak.
