This is a five year old Springbank known as the 100 Proof, bottled at 57.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is lightly peated, distilled two and a half times and aged in bourbon casks.
The nose is bright, with green apples, gorse, wine gums and a mineral note. On the palate it is well balanced, with a touch of peat smoke, icing sugar and white chocolate, while tomato plant, sunflower seeds and linseed oil develop. The finish brings honey and gooseberries.
