This is a five-year-old Springbank bottled in 2023 for the Springbank Society. It was distilled in 2017, matured in first-fill bourbon casks and bottled at 57.1% in a 70cl bottle. Only 2,166 bottles were filled.
The nose brings damp earth, black pepper, custard, peach melba, strawberries and cream sweets. On the palate it is thick and creamy, with vanilla pudding, panna cotta, wet tea leaves, peppercorns, papaya and maritime notes. The finish turns to earth, wet cut grass and eucalyptus.
