This is an eight year old Springbank Local Barley, distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2024. It is made from bere barley grown on High Ranachan farm in the Campbeltown region, and was matured in a 50/50 mix of bourbon and sherry casks before bottling at 58.1%.
The nose offers cracked black pepper, cigar box and sage. On the palate are shortbread and salted caramel with a herbal basil note. The finish is long and sweet, with toffee standing out.
