This is an 8 year old Springbank from Campbeltown, released for the Online Tasting Week in 2021. It was distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2021, with an outturn of 1160 bottles.
The whisky matured in refill bourbon casks and fresh Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. It is bottled at a cask strength of 56.5% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is rich, sweet and savoury, with red apples, smoked cheese, syrup and cola cubes. On the palate come dried fruit, walnuts, dried apricots, figs, shortbread, vanilla and salt. The finish brings caramel, cola cubes, dates, plums, smoke and ash.
