This is a Springbank single malt from Campbeltown, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was released in small numbers for the Japanese market and is matured in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks.
The nose is fresh, clean and full of citrus, with honey and melon coming through over time and a touch of vanilla. The palate starts crisp, salty and sweet, then moves to coconut, ripe tropical fruit, sweet oloroso and almonds, with a faint trace of peat smoke in the background. The finish is long and salty.
