This is a 10 year old Springbank single malt, the sixth release in the Local Barley series. The series is distilled from barley grown locally around Campbeltown.
It was matured in bourbon casks and bottled at 51.6% ABV, in a 75cl bottle. The outturn is limited to 15,000 bottles worldwide.
The nose is typically described as fresh citrus with earthy notes, vanilla and a subtle maritime edge. On the palate, salty flavours, minerals, peat, citrus fruit, seaweed and vanilla blend together, leading to a long, complex finish.
